Block scheduling caused all the teachers to re-evaluate what we teach and rearrange it to fit in a smaller, faster-paced time schedule. The students had to adjust, too, to new classes and different teaching techniques. Now we know a little more about what we are doing, but we are still tweaking and adjusting from the lessons we learned have learned. The official term is to "monitor and adjust". Teachers and students both have to monitor and adjust in order to create the best learning situation possible, so I'm calling this year the "Year of Growth". I hope you grow a) in your knowlege of computers, but also in b) your knowledge of how to study and learn, and finally, c) knowledge about what it takes to get along with each other and to provide a harmonious relationship with everyone.
I hope you have a great semester - let's grow!
